Beautiful dress made from raw Eri silk from India. Eri silk fabric is a boon for those who practice absolute non-violence, not using any product obtained by killing any animal. Eri silk products are promoted as eco-friendly and natural, and provide jobs  for the tribal peoples.
The dress has wrap silhouette and tied with a thin belt. Suitable for everyday as well as for special occasion.
 
MATERIAL AND CARE
 
The dress is made from Raw Ahimsa silk. It's a rustic handwolven fabric, some pilling may occur naturally. It's is not as shiny and glossy as normal Mulberry silk, by texture it might look similar to linen, yet has all qualities of silk. Cocoons for this silk were collected by hand in the north of India after the butterfly already had left. It got its name from a Hindi word 'Ahimsa' which means 'Non-violence'. This method does not kill the silkworms to extract silk. It is also known as peace or vegan silk.
Hand wash carefully in cold water with a special silk detergent. Avoid spraying perfume or deodorant on the fabric and don't dry silk on direct sunlight or drier machine. 
All of the garments of Iana Lana are made from 100% natural materials. Fair-trade, ethically made and eco friendly.
